A short ferry ride transports you to this unspoiled National Seashore.

Cumberland Island Museum

NEW -
The Cumberland Island Museum recently opened its doors. Located on the mainland, visitors who are unable to take the ferry over to the island can still capture a glance of mysterious life on the island.

This newly opened facility houses a collection of artifacts from Cumberland Island and includes an exhibit area open to the public. The museum features island exhibits and provides a glimpse of life on the barrier ialnd suring the "gilded age'. The exhibitions highlight the lives of the Native Americans, African Americans, the Carnegie Family, as well as others who lived on the island in the 19th and 20th centuries.
