DAY 1: Arrival Day: 3:00pm - 5:00pm: As each guest arrives at the hotel, enjoy a Welcome Reception with drinks & snacks! 6:00pm: Enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant either on your own or as a group. DAY 2: 9:00am: Rise and shine for a fun filled reunion at Crooked River State Park! This park offers a great setting for your reunions with pavilions overlooking the Crooked River, playgrounds and a nature center for the kids. 12:00pm: Enjoy a “cook-out” style lunch under the park’s pavilion where you can bring food to BBQ while reconnecting with your family and friends. 3:00pm: Need to cool off? Head downtown to the St. Marys Aquatic Center! Kids of all ages can enjoy “Splash Mountain” or just simply float along the “Lazy River Oasis.” Lap pools and kiddie pools available to keep everyone entertained! 5:00pm: Head back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner! 6:30pm: Enjoy dinner with your group at a Southern-Style buffet, or somewhere overlooking the St. Marys River. Optional Evening Entertainment: After dinner head back to the hotel where you can mix and mingle! Play some cards, hang out by the pool or play some games with the kids in the banquet room. DAY 3: 10:00am: Start your journey at the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge with a 90-minute boat ride through the Suwannee Canal for a guided interpretive tour where you will have the opportunity to see over 400 different species of animal. The naturalist guides will share their knowledge of the swamp’s natural and cultural history, tell interesting swamp stories and identify plants and wildlife along the way. 12:00pm: Have lunch at Okefenokee’s own, “Camp Cornelia” where the staff can prepare a special lunch for your group. 1:30pm: Tour the Okefenokee Visitor Center and experience sights and sounds of the orientation film; climb to the top of a tower to look at the animals that live in the cypress canopy; and see an underwater view of the swamp. 3:00pm: Depart the Okefenokee Swamp heading back to hotel to swim in the pool or take a nap before dinner. 5:30pm: Head to downtown St. Marys for a sit-down dinner at any of the various restaurants overlooking the beautiful marsh and rivers. Enjoy your last night reminiscing about your favorite memories and telling stories of days gone by. |
